The Lord is capable of exalting Himself by His own power but as His children, we still have the responsibility of singing His praises. When we look at the greatness of our Heavenly Father who happens to be so great and sovereign that He has the capability and capacity to exalt and glorify Himself by His very own power, We can do nothing much but marvel at His great deeds towards us. Many times when we consider all the things He does for us His children, we tend to ask the question; “what is really our own role or part in this very big scheme of God?” But like the Psalmists we must see that the Almighty God requires nothing much at our hands than that we be His cheerleaders here on earth; acknowledging and praising Him for all the incredible things he does for us His children. Our natural response to the great and wonderful works of God in our lives is to shout out praise to his Holy Name. In doing this, we set the atmosphere ready for even more of his mighty deeds in our lives. [Reference: Psalms 21:13 and Psalms 103:1-2] Praise the Lord everyone and forget not His benefits!!!
Forgiveness is a potent means of granting freedom to our spirits. It is true that we are living in such perilous times that it is so hard to find trustworthy men and so even when we put our trust in the men we think we trust so much, some still fail us time and again. So the big question is “what is the need of forgiving men when they might still go back straight away to hurting it all over again?” It is therefore very necessary for God’s children to understanding that our Lord requires us to forgive our fellow man, not just because we want them to forgive us back or because they promise to not hurt us anymore; but because forgiving them being a command from our heavenly Father, also grants us freedom in our spirits and gives God the chance to fight for us. We must know, therefore, that anytime we forgive those who hurt us, we free our spirits from offenses and this permits us to freely access the depths of the riches that are locked up in heavenly places for us, as well as we allow the Holy Spirit to better carry us into the will of the Father and into the abundant life that is ours in Christ Jesus. The word of GOD is a surgical tool that we must face daily if we must conform to the image of the Lord Jesus. Our God is truly indescribable because we cannot fully comprehend His greatness or capabilities, and one way He reveals Himself to us in scriptures is as a Surgeon who, by means of chastening, does all manner of operations in the hearts of his children when need arises. He often does this using the most effective and efficient surgical tool which is His Word, The Holy Scriptures. As children of the most skillful surgeon who has the most effective and efficient tool, we must regularly visit the word of God for it to carry out major operations on our bodies, souls and spirits for it is by His word that the Lord encourages, comforts, motivates, convicts, instructs, inspires and compels us to become better sons and daughters. Let not a day go by without you going into the operation room of God’s word, laying bear before him the thoughts and inclinations of your heart so that He can take off all the cancers and corruptions that the world constantly infects us with in order to destroy us.
